Michelle Arnold is currently an associate professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and a director of the Auditory Rehabilitation and Clinical Trials laboratory. Dr. Arnold holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Aging Sciences, with a concentration in health policy and practice, as well as a clinical doctorate degree in audiology. In addition, Dr. Arnold is an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association certified audiologist with license to practice in the state of »Ê¼Ò»ªÈË. Her research focuses on hearing health policy and aging, hearing health care access and utilization, and hearing loss and cognition. Dr. Arnold’s current NIH-funded projects include language accessibility of health education materials, Hispanic/LatinX hearing health, and best practices hearing intervention as a possible factor to mediate the trajectory of dementia.
