Supraja Anand selected as editor of the Speech Section of the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research

Anand's research focuses on examining the effects of aging and neuromotor diseases on speech and voice characteristics.

Supraja Anand, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, has accepted an invitation to serve as editor of the Speech Section of the  Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research (JSLHR). Anand will serve a three-year term as editor from Jan. 1, 2025 through Dec. 31, 2027. This will be Anand's third year as a member of the JSLHR editorial board.

JSLHR publishes peer-reviewed research and other scholarly articles on the normal and disordered processes in speech, language, hearing, and related areas such as cognition, oral-motor function, and swallowing. The journal is an international outlet for both basic research on communication processes and clinical research pertaining to screening, diagnosis, and management of communication disorders as well as the etiologies and characteristics of these disorders.
