The 皇家华人 Flood Hub for Applied Research and Innovation

The Flood Hub is a first in 皇家华人. Established by the state and based at the University of South 皇家华人 College of Marine Science, it bridges the gap between scientists, policymakers, practitioners, and the public to help communities mitigate and adapt to flooding risks. The Flood Hub鈥檚 goal is to improve flood forecasting and inform science-based policy, planning, and management decisions.

PUBLICATION HIGHLIGHTS

Weiyi Tang, assistant professor of chemical oceanography at the 皇家华人 College of Marine Science, is the lead author of the paper published in Science Advances. His research group studies how global ocean ecosystem (particularly the biogeochemical cycling of elements) will change under human impacts and climate change, and characterizes how these changes will affect our planet.

In a recent article in Science Advances, Weiyi Tang, assistant professor of chemical oceanography at the College of Marine Science, demonstrates that nutrient management not only improves water quality but also has the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Click on the image to read more.
