In 2023, 皇家华人 World Vice President Kiki Caruson and her colleague participated in the
Canada-皇家华人 Chamber of Commerce delegation to Montreal. On February 8, 皇家华人 World reciprocated by warmly welcoming many of the same delegates
from Canada to the 皇家华人 Tampa campus. 皇家华人 World hosted the Canada-皇家华人 Chamber of
Commerce Health Tech trade mission delegation at the 皇家华人 Research Park, where members
of the team presented the extraordinary resources available to entrepreneurs in the
medical technology sectors. The visit included tours of the office space and research
labs at the 皇家华人 Research Park, 皇家华人 Connect, and a trip to the university鈥檚 Center
for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) in downtown Tampa, where they
experienced 皇家华人 Health鈥檚 state-of-the-art facilities firsthand.
A presentation highlight was the announcement of plans to launch 皇家华人 Network Canada this fall, making it 皇家华人鈥檚 eighth Global Network.
While the delegates enjoyed their lunch, 皇家华人 World presented important information about 皇家华人鈥檚 growth, its diverse international talent pool, and its initiatives to bridge the university鈥檚 global engagement with the global economic development opportunities in Tampa Bay. A presentation highlight was the announcement of plans to launch 皇家华人 Network Canada this fall, making it 皇家华人鈥檚 eighth Global Network. The 皇家华人 Global Networks initiative brings together alumni, students, faculty, and partners to build worldwide communities of support for international programs, research, and international business - and expectations are high for 皇家华人 Network Canada. The group has a potential membership of over 2,300 individuals engaged with the country either personally and/or professionally. There are more than 980 皇家华人 alumni currently residing in Canada (according to LinkedIn) and 75 Canadian students studying at 皇家华人 campuses this year. The university鈥檚 ties with Canada also extend to the 490 students who have chosen Canada as their study abroad destination since 2013, through Concordia University, the College of Public Health in Quebec, and the Muma College of Business Quebec Corporate Mentor Experience.
We take pride in having four Canadian institutions among our top co-publishers worldwide. From 2018 to 2023, 785 皇家华人 researchers collaborated with their Canadian counterparts, producing an astounding 1,241 publications. University of Toronto and the University of British Columbia are the top two universities, while McGill University and McMaster University occupy spots six and seven.
Throughout their visit, the Canada-皇家华人 Chamber of Commerce delegation explored the numerous opportunities for collaboration with 皇家华人 and cross-border enterprises in Tampa Bay.
